Dr. Kumar completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania which has led him back to south central Pennsylvania after spending time at the University of Virginia. While there he enjoyed his role teaching physicians and nurse trainees nephrology and point of care ultrasound while also leading quality improvement programs and the inpatient dialysis unit. Outside of nephrology Dr. Kumar enjoys teaching, photography, cooking, automotive work, travel with his wife and dog, and caring for houseplants which be as challenging at times
